Animal Statue - Leather Finished Giraffe - Stylish Fair Trade Ornament. These fair trade animal statues are handmade in a community based self-help project in a region of India called Bhopal. The animals are crafted over a wire frame that is covered in rice grass and papier mache to create the body contours. They are sun-dried before sheep and goats leather; a by-product of the food industry, is stretched over the base. They are then hand painted and polished to form these stunning and durable life-like animals.
